I have been shooting off and on for longer than I can remember.
My first gun was a Webley air pistol, later graduating to a BSA
air rifle, then to a Remington .22 cal rimfire. The Remington
was followed by a succession of various 22 rifles. I started
reading some books on wildfowling and I thought that a side by
side shotgun would be fun, so I acquired a Merkel shotgun. I
spent many very enjoyable days in the field with that gun.
One day a friend suggested that we try some clay target shooting,
what a blast.....(no pun intended). It soon became evident that
the side by side was not entirely suited to clay shooting, so
it was traded for a used Merkel over & under, it in turn
was traded for a new Merkel 201E. My collection increased with
the addition of a pair of Brownings, a 32" Citori Trap and
a 30" Ultra Sporting. I still shoot clays whenever I get
the chance.....usually trap and sporting clays.
I also like to shoot handgun and rifle at paper targets (just
for fun), and for several years I have been an NRA certified
instructor (basic pistol). I prefer to specialize in one
to one (no large groups) instruction. If you live in the westside
of Los Angeles and are interested in basic pistol instruction,
please e-mail me for details
